Position Overview

Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiology Clinic

Schedule: Full-time - Day Shift (Monday to Friday)

Compensation: $28.30 - $45.28 per hour

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will deliver direct nursing care in alignment with the established policies, procedures, and protocols of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient conditions as necessary.
• Act as the primary coordinator among various disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
• Evaluate and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• May accompany physicians during rounds in inpatient settings.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and scientific knowledge to inform nursing care, tailored to the specific age and clinical needs of patients as outlined in the department's Scope of Service.
• Exemplify professional nursing standards as defined in our practice model, using the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to navigate the evolving health and nursing needs of our patients.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing.

Experience: No prior experience is necessary.

Physical Requirements

• Regular verbal communication to convey information.
• Consistent standing and walking.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Regular sitting, reaching, and data entry tasks.
• Frequent visual acuity for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, including color differentiation.
• Regular olfactory recognition for detecting odors.
• Frequent auditory skills to receive verbal communication and identify body sounds or alarms.
• Occasional lifting of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs and moving patients.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive movements of hands and legs.
• Occasional driving; rare crawling and running.

Licenses and Certifications

• State of Work Location: Illinois
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
