Manufacturing Engineer- Electronics - Defense - Onsite PositionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Santa Clarita, CA!As our Manufacturing Engineer you will perform various analyses, design and/or assembly related to manufacturing and industrial engineering projects. You will develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences and processes in the manufacture of sub-assemblies and final assemblies for defense applications. You will interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. You will estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and processing requirements of new or existing production lines. You will lead and support continuous improvement projects and implement new technologies to streamline operations pursuing world class manufacturing specializing in integration and test. Criteria such as the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.Your Challenge:Support New Product Introduction (NPI) engineer on Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Participate in Manufacturing Readiness (MR) Review and ensure MR Level maturity prior to production phase. Work with NPI engineers and design engineers in coordinating the release of new products and conduct reducibility reviews of engineering drawings prior to release.Performs various operational or methods analyses, including but not limited to simulation, related to labor standards and reviews product/project flow data, equipment, and labor requirements for use in conducting manufacturing operations, increasing productivity, and reducing production unit cost. Take initiatives to lead continuous improvement projects.Assists in the evaluation of engineering changes and/or other specifications requirements and performs as technical liaison with other engineering personnel such as program management, finance, design, quality, procurement, inspection, and production.Create and update manufacturing standard procedures defining specific manufacturing processes.Establishes Manufacturing process flow.Create assembly work instructions and rework/repair instructions.Create technical training material and provide training to production and engineering staff.Continue to review and evaluate new technologies to be adopted into our operations.Support Based of Estimate (BOE) for Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), which include both new business and RMA (Return Materials Authorization)/Overhaul and Repair (O&R)What You Bring:Bachelor's degree in manufacturing/industrial engineering2 to 4 years' manufacturing/industrial engineering experienceAbility to read and understand drawings, electrical schematics, specification, and MS Office suite or products.Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assembly principles.Experience in electronics manufacturing and Integration and Test work environment.Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply to practical situations.Ability to solve problems and deal with variables in situations where limited standardization exists.Experience in router and work instruction developmentPreferred Qualification:Minimum of 3 years' manufacturing/industrial engineering experienceExperience in Agile PLM, S/4 Hana, and Factory LogixLean and Six Sigma green and/or black beltExperience in simulation software ex.
