The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a resources advisor/budget analyst performing day-to-day control and management involving the formulation, execution, and/or analysis of the organization's budget and funding requirements. - Serves as the functional point of contact for day-to-day budget/financial issues.
- Performs budget formulation work involving review and preparation of budget estimates and financial plans.
- Performs budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of funds
- Provides advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information and conducts analyses, reviews and special studies of budget and/or related information
- Uses budgetary and other automated system(s) and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting/funding assignments

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
- Employee must maintain current certifications

- Leave accrual may be authorized upon request
- Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
- Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
- Safeguards classified or sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends.
- This is a Financial Management Level 1 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d.
- Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program
