Responsibilities:Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate and individual tax services including planning, research, compliance, provision work, and mergers and acquisitions activities, and assist with new business development related to these tax servicesRecognize, research, and recommend resolutions for moderate to complex tax issuesCarry out research and analyze tax consequences to determine appropriate tax treatment of domestic and international taxation specifically in consolidated tax returns and reorganizationConduct tax due diligence and prepare reportsWork as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that focuses on helping to provide industry knowledge and experienceDevelop, motivate, and train staff-level team membersQualifications:Minimum eight years of recent public accounting and/or corporate tax experienceBachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that listFluent in both English and JapaneseKnowledge of a broad range of corporate tax matters, including provision and advisory experience, with a working knowledge of the application of ASC 740Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial informationAbility to handle multiple engagements and client service teamsKPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
