Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Position Information

Role: RN
Specialty: Medical Telemetry, IMC
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: 36 (unless otherwise noted)
Call Requirements: None
Years of Experience Required: 1-2 years minimum
Float Requirements: Yes - IMC RNs may float to another IMC level of care unit as needed.

Education & Certifications Required

Certifications: BLS
Education Modules: Mandatory onboarding education

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 43
Patient Ratios:
- Day Shift Med/Surg: 1:4-5
- Night Shift Med/Surg: 1:5-6
- Day and Night IMC: 3:1
Equipment:
- Ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP
- IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, Trach care/maintenance
EMR: Epic

Hiring Profile

Must Have Skills/Experience:
- IMC RNs must have experience with vent management.
- All RNs must be proficient in tracheostomy care and interpreting telemetry strips.
Preferred Skillset/Experience:
Type of Patients on Unit:
- Respiratory conditions, Medical Telemetry, surgical patients, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, respiratory failure, and other acute on chronic medical conditions.
Personality Fit: Team-oriented, flexible, with strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Dress Code

Scrub Color: N/A
Unacceptable Attire: Unprofessional clothing, shirts with logos other than those related to the hospital.
