Logistics Coordinator

Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator supports daily freight, transportation, and logistics operations by coordinating schedules, arranging shipments, managing purchase orders, monitoring driver activity, and communicating with internal teams, drivers, vendors, and outside carriers. This role requires strong organization, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibilities: ****

Pull schedules and coordinate daily logistics needs.

Coordinate LTL pickups and communicate shipment details with carriers, vendors, drivers, and internal teams.

Create, receive, and manage purchase orders for XPO, UPS, LTL, outside carrier, and outsourced shipments.

Complete driver pay sheets and verify related documentation.

Monitor driver whereabouts, ELD compliance, and shipment tracking as needed.

Create delivery sheets for drivers, shipping, and outside carriers.

Monitor the Freight Bill of Lading folder and assign purchase orders when due.

Coordinate company vehicle maintenance, usage tracking, mileage reporting, and compliance records.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, Requirements, Preferred Skills

Proficiency with logistics, scheduling, transportation, purchasing, and related software systems.

Experience creating, tracking, receiving, and accurately documenting purchase orders and related records.

Ability to manage driver pay documentation accurately and on time.

Strong communication skills for coordinating with drivers, carriers, vendors, and internal departments.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to follow up on outstanding items and maintain compliance records.

Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Dependable, proactive, and able to multitask while working independently or with a team.
