Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Production Lead to coordinate daily manufacturing activities within a filter-production environment.

This hands-on leadership role is responsible for assigning work, supporting production employees, monitoring quality and output, maintaining accurate records, and helping the department meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals. The Production Lead will work closely with supervisors, maintenance, quality, warehouse, and other departments to resolve production issues and maintain an efficient workflow.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to remain actively involved on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities for an assigned shift, line, or manufacturing area.
• Assign employees to workstations based on production priorities, staffing, and skill level.
• Communicate daily production schedules, quality expectations, and safety requirements.
• Monitor workflow, output, scrap, downtime, and overall production performance.
• Ensure filter products are assembled, processed, inspected, labeled, and packaged according to specifications.
• Verify that employees follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality requirements.
• Perform or support production-line setup, changeovers, and startup inspections.
• Review work orders, production schedules, bills of material, and product specifications.
• Confirm that required materials, components, tools, and packaging supplies are available.
• Identify production delays, equipment problems, material shortages, and quality concerns.
• Escalate mechanical or electrical issues to maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate with quality personnel to address defective or nonconforming products.
• Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing and assembly-process issues.
• Complete required production, quality, downtime, scrap, and inventory documentation.
• Train new employees on equipment operation, work procedures, quality standards, and safety practices.
• Provide employees with coaching, direction, and constructive feedback.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, productivity, and respectful workplace behavior.
• Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
• Enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Participate in continuous-improvement and waste-reduction activities.
• Assist with production work as needed to maintain workflow and meet customer requirements.
• Communicate shift results, unresolved concerns, and production priorities to supervisors and incoming personnel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience.
• Previous lead, team-lead, trainer, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, production schedules, specifications, and written instructions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead employees in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to identify problems, determine priorities, and take appropriate action.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Ability to perform basic production and inventory calculations.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when required
