Controller

We are seeking an experienced Controller to provide high-level accounting leadership and advisory services to client organizations. This role is hands-on, client-facing, and impact-driven. You will work directly with executive teams to improve financial reporting, strengthen controls, and create sustainable accounting processes that actually stick. What You Will Do Serve as a trusted accounting advisor to client leadership teams. Deliver measurable and sustainable improvements in financial reporting and performance monitoring. Execute defined project plans and provide ongoing advisory support. Analyze financial statements, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions. Lead cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting efforts. Support accounting system implementations, migrations, and integrations. Establish repeatable processes and help client teams adopt them. Provide weekly progress updates tied to agreed deliverables. Work independently or as part of a consulting team depending on engagement scope. Travel to client sites as required. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s preferred. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong command of financial statements and variance analysis. Proven experience with cash flow management and budgeting. Hands-on experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks (Desktop and Online), Sage, NetSuite, AS400, or similar systems. Experience with accounting system migrations and ERP or CRM integrations. Cost accounting experience is a plus. CPA preferred. Comfortable working directly with executives and making recommendations that drive action. Work Environment and Travel Mix of remote and on-site work based on client needs. Schedule and billable hours aligned with client engagements. Travel required; client covers airfare, lodging, and rental vehicles. Partial per diem provided for travel days. What This Role Is (and Is Not) This is a senior-level, client-facing role with real accountability. This is not a back-office, low-impact accounting position.
