Job Description

Job Summary:
The Acute Registered Dietitian provides specialized nutritional care to patients in a healthcare setting, ensuring individualized plans are implemented and monitored to promote optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and screen high-risk patients to determine their nutritional needs.
• Develop and coordinate personalized nutrition treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patients' families.
• Monitor and evaluate patients' progress toward nutritional goals, adjusting plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and caregivers on nutritional requirements, cultural preferences, and medical conditions, tailoring recommendations accordingly.
• Document all assessments, care plans, and education activities accurately in the medical records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, family conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance nutritional care.

Qualifications:

• Require at least 1 year of relevant experience as a Dietitian.
• Certified as a Registered Dietitian (RD) with valid licensure in CA.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to participate in meetings and educational activities.
• Knowledge of specialized diets, including renal and diabetic nutrition, preferred.
• Willingness to float across units as needed and work variable shifts.
