Mobile Service Technician

Partner with the best in the heavy-duty industry and apply today!The Mobile Technician I is expected to perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs with limited supervision on trucks and trailers. This technician will also work in the shop between service calls. They may also be asked to participate in the after-hour on-call rotation for the location, if needed.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and filter replacements.Maintain 80% productivityLimit comebacks to zeroRepair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric and brake accessories).Test drive vehicles and test components using proper equipment.Troubleshoot and repair, exhaust systems, steering systems, air conditioning.Record final measurements, services and parts used during the last stage of a job, noting any special customer request(s).File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.Maintain a clean and organized workspace and service truck.Practice safe driving.Education & TrainingHigh school diploma or GEDDiesel Technology certificate/degree is a plus, but not required.Knowledge & Experience1 + years of experience with basic maintenance/repairing class 7 & 8 trucks and trailersSkills & AbilitiesValid driver's license with good driving record required.Class A CDL is preferred, but not required.Must provide hand tools, air tools, and toolbox.Maintain perfect safety recordAbility to lift 50lbs.Working ConditionsExposure to Inside/Outside Conditions, Extreme Temperatures (average of 100 Degrees F), Humid Conditions, Chemical Hazards, Vibration, Equipment Noise, Work in enclosed and confined spaces.FleetPride is the leader in the industry comprised of retail, service, distribution and wholesale divisions.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
