Periodontist

Job Description Job Description We are looking for a full time Periodontist to add to our Babylon, LI, NY team. We have a talented team and hygienists to support this role. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and treat periodontal (gum) disease. Place and restore dental implants. Perform gum grafts and other periodontal surgeries. Evaluate patients for oral inflammation, bone loss, and gum recession. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists on patient care. Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-operative instructions. Monitor patient progress and provide follow-up care. Maintain accurate patient records and comply with healthcare regulations and infection control standards. Qualifications: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school. Completion of an accredited Periodontics residency program. Current state dental license and board certification (where applicable). Strong clinical, surgical, and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and patient care abilities. Knowledge of modern periodontal techniques and dental technologies. Skills: Expertise in periodontal surgery and dental implant placement. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Compassionate patient-centered care. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary dental team. Proficiency with electronic dental records (EDR) and digital imaging systems.
