Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: AHA-ACLS, AHA-PALS, and AHA-NRP certifications required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patients' situation. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing safe and humane patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Adheres to organizational requirements regarding safety and wellbeing. All associates must meet vaccination requirements for employment. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.
