Medina Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to provide specialized therapy to individuals impacted by trauma within a supportive, remote working environment. Our focus is on delivering evidence-based care to enhance the well-being and resilience of our patients, particularly those dealing with complex trauma, PTSD, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment\nThis position operates in a remote capacity, allowing flexibility while still being part of a highly collaborative team. Our therapists have access to various digital tools and resources that support effective communication and patient management. While the general schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, there may be a requirement for flexibility to accommodate patient needs and crisis situations.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and determine appropriate therapy approaches. \n
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering recovery from trauma and building resilience. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to assist patients effectively. \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, allowing patients to explore their experiences, develop coping skills, and promote healing. \n
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless, integrated patient care. \n
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary, demonstrating the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure scenarios. \n
- Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and techniques for managing distress. \n
- Maintain accurate, confidential records as per legal and ethical guidelines, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently. \n
- Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance clinical practice and ensure the highest patient care standards. \n
- Stay updated with current research and best practices in the field of trauma therapy to refine skills and knowledge continuously. \n
Our clientele primarily includes individuals who have experienced trauma, which may manifest in a variety of mental health challenges such as PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with this sensitive population, understanding the unique difficulties they face in their healing journey.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- A current, valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona. \n
- A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on trauma-informed care. \n
- Thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and resilience-building methodologies. \n
- Demonstrated experience employing trauma-focused therapeutic interventions. \n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach. \n
- Strong ability to remain composed and effective in urgent situations. \n
- Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems and general computer applications. \n
- Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team context. \n
While 2 years of relevant experience is required, additional experience in crisis intervention and trauma-specific therapies will be highly regarded. Familiarity with a range of therapeutic modalities and a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development are also preferred.
Compensation and Benefits\nThe salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer:
