Trillium Staffing is now seeking Quality Inspectors in Eldridge, IA on 3rd shift!
Pay rate is $26.00 - $27.00 per hour. Schedule is 3rd shift, 11pm-7:15am, Sunday night - Thursday night. Any mandatory overtime will be scheduled on Fridays.
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing precision quality inspections on standard and specialized processes and components according to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and internal work instructions. This role involves conducting first-article, in-process, and final inspections, as well as training production and quality personnel on the proper use of metrology equipment across the facility.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
• Execute and maintain compliance with the facility’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Perform ongoing first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections based on engineering prints and specifications.
• Train production team members and quality personnel on the setup and application of plant metrology and inspection equipment.
• Verify calibration status of inspection tools and gauges prior to use on production runs; perform routine gauge calibration as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with Quality Management, Engineering, and Production Leadership regarding active quality or yield issues.
• Audit production paperwork and travelers to ensure required quality checks and data are being recorded accurately.
• Document non-conforming materials and maintain non-conformance logs.
• Assist in root-cause analysis and maintain Corrective Action (CAPA) logs.
• Ensure temperature and environmental loggers in the quality lab are maintained and monitored.
• Coordinate night-shift inspection priorities with cross-shift quality leadership.
• Complete other quality assurance tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
o 3-5+ years of quality inspection experience within a precision machining or advanced manufacturing environment.
o Proven track record performing first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
o Extensive experience utilizing standard precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, etc.).
o Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and complex blueprint reading.
o Practical knowledge of precision measuring tools and inspection methodologies.
o Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) is preferred.
o Exceptional attention to detail in identifying, documenting, and managing non-conforming product.
o Solid problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
o Occasionally required to lift up to 35 lbs. Frequently required to lift up to 25 lbs (e.g., moving parts from storage or positioning components in/out of the work area).
