The City of Cibolo is seeking a highly motivated Firefighter to join our team. As a key member of the Fire Department, the Firefighter will handle fire suppression, prevention, inspection, rescue, and first responder operations. Our Firefighters make a difference in our citizens' lives by engaging with them by protecting life and property from disaster situations, including house and building fires, and promote an environment of public safety within the department response area.

You have a strong work ethic and work extremely hard to accomplish the duties assigned. Going home after helping the public gives you a sense of pride. You take pleasure in using your abilities to safeguard our residents and guide them through the most trying times of their lives. You enjoy motivating people and take great pride in watching your teammates excel. You do not shy away from crucial conversations, and you hold yourself and your team to the highest standards. You take great pleasure in helping our community, working outside, and imparting your knowledge to the people of Cibolo. • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Must have a valid Texas Commission of Fire Protection (TCFP) Structural Firefighter-Basic Certification
• Must have a valid Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) EMT-Basic Certification

Compensation: Starting hourly rate is $19.80/hr. (DOE) plus outstanding benefits package which includes 100% fully paid employee health, vision, dental, and life insurance, generous TMRS retirement package with a 2:1 match at 7% employee contribution, 12 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday that is awarded at the beginning of each fiscal year, vacation and sick leave, and so much more!
