Overview
Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech in Sonora, California. This travel assignment is a 13-week engagement beginning 09/28/2026 in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,612 to $2,846 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Shift is 4x10-hour days. This position requires ultrasound-specific certification and active ARDMS/ARRT/CCI credentials, plus BLS, and operates under a travel-temporary employment arrangement.

Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with physician-directed protocols
- Acquire, optimize, and document high-quality ultrasound images and measurements
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; ensure image integrity and proper storage of studies
- Position patients, explain procedures, monitor condition, and provide direct patient care as needed
- Verify patient data accuracy, prepare rooms, and assist with post-procedure tasks while ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret findings and communicate results clearly

Requirements
- Education: Diploma/certificate from an accredited ultrasound program
- Certification: Current certification/registration by ARDMS (Abdomen AB, Obstetrics OB, or RVT) or CCI-RVS; or ARRT-S or ARRT-VS, with eligibility to practice within one year of hire; CA/HI licensure or eligibility as applicable
- Licenses/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Experience: At least two years of recent ultrasound experience
- Additional: Current nursing license per state of assignment; ability to work in a hospital setting; good interpersonal and patient-care skills
