Procurement Coordinator

Assignment Type: Direct Hire Pay: $65-70k annually Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., fully onsite Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Job Description: The Procurement Coordinator will help ensure materials and products are available to support business and customer needs. This position will oversee purchasing activity, monitor inventory and inbound shipments, review supply and demand information, and coordinate with internal and external partners. The ideal candidate will be proactive and highly organized, with the ability to identify potential supply challenges before they impact operations. This role requires someone who can manage competing priorities, analyze information, and take ownership of issues from identification through resolution. Key Responsibilities: Review inventory, purchasing, and material requirements using SAP and other business systems. Analyze supply and demand information to determine upcoming purchasing needs. Manage a high volume of purchase orders and coordinate ordering activity. Determine appropriate order quantities and timing based on inventory, demand, and lead times. Coordinate with manufacturing and supply partners to secure required materials. Obtain delivery commitments and monitor inbound shipments. Partner with transportation and logistics providers to address shipment timing and delays. Identify potential shortages, supply disruptions, or purchasing issues before they affect operations. Monitor recurring inventory and supply trends and adjust future purchasing needs accordingly. Communicate material availability and potential delays to internal stakeholders. Partner with customer-facing and operational teams to resolve product availability issues. Assist with forecasting, trend analysis, and inventory planning. Maintain accurate purchasing and master data within SAP. Monitor supplier performance and assist with resolving recurring issues. Support process improvements related to purchasing, inventory, and supply chain operations. Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure materials are available when needed. Qualifications: 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, materials planning, logistics, manufacturing, or a related field. SAP experience is required. Experience managing a high volume of purchase orders. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Bachelor's degree preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to anticipate potential issues and take action proactively. Experience with forecasting, inventory planning, trend analysis, or data analysis is preferred. Power BI experience is a plus. MRP/ERP experience is beneficial. This position involves collaboration with teams across multiple departments and locations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable making informed decisions, identifying trends, and taking action without needing constant direction. Strong follow-through and a sense of urgency are important for success in this role. This is a fully onsite position in a fast-paced manufacturing and supply chain environment.
