07:00 AM to 07:00 PM, 3 shifts per week, with 4 weekend shifts required every 4-week schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care to our patients in the labor and delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetrical nursing and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients during labor and delivery, including antepartum and postpartum support.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal wellbeing.
• Assist in vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and epidural placements.
• Interpret fetal monitoring strips and manage complications as they arise.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including nitrous oxide and IV fluids.
• Prepare delivery tables and assist in newborn care and stabilization.
• Participate in patient education and support through the childbirth process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications.
• Labor and delivery experience is essential.
• Knowledge of common obstetrical medications and complications.
• Experience in PACU recovery for spinal anesthesia is preferred.
• Ability to perform IV insertion, lab draws, and blood administration.
