About this role

We are hiring experienced concrete carpenters for per diem assignments based out of San Antonio, TX. You will build, assemble and strip concrete forms on commercial and government projects. This role requires strong formwork skills, accurate layout and the ability to work efficiently as part of a crew. Projects may require travel across Texas (including Dallas-area jobs). Candidates should be comfortable with travel assignments, able to follow construction drawings and specs, and ready to work a hands-on role on site. Open to workers willing to relocate for long-term or recurring assignments.

What you'll do

• Build, set, brace and strip timber and metal concrete forms per plans and specs
• Interpret construction drawings, as-built documents and formwork details to lay out work accurately
• Measure, cut and assemble form materials, install blocking, vibratory inserts and embedments
• Coordinate with concrete placement crews to ensure form integrity and pour readiness
• Maintain tools, equipment and form inventory; report defects and perform basic repairs
• Follow site safety rules, assist in maintaining a clean, organized work area and report quality issues to foreman

What we're looking for

• Proven hands-on experience building concrete formwork on commercial or government projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site layout and as-built drawings
• Strong measuring, cutting and general framing carpentry skills for timber and metal forms
• Experience with concrete placement coordination and basic concrete finishing awareness
• Comfortable working per diem assignments and traveling to off-site projects; reliable transportation to staging locations
• Team player with good communication skills and attention to accuracy and quality

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; clean driving record preferred
• Minimum 3 years concrete formwork or commercial carpentry experience (or equivalent)
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• OSHA 10 (preferred) and other trade certifications a plus
