Travel RN - Neonatal ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with a minimum of 2 years of Level III NICU experience, including ventilator and oscillator management, for a night shift travel contract in Washington, DC. Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license (no pending licenses accepted); a DC RN license is required Current AHA certifications required: BLS, NRP, and STABLE Minimum 2 years of NICU experience in a US hospital required; 3+ years strongly preferred Level III NICU experience required, including management of vents, oscillators, pressors, and micro-preemies US Social Security Number required Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer Date of birth required for consideration Responsibilities Level III NICU in a hospital setting Patient population ranges from 23 weeks gestation to 4 months of age, primarily admitted from labor and delivery Conditions treated include extreme prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, hypoglycemia, congenital anomalies, seizures, and meconium aspiration syndrome Services provided include noninvasive nasal CPAP, mechanical ventilation, High Frequency Oscillation (HFO), and nitric oxide inhalation therapy Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) 9-week contract Nurses respond to neonatal emergencies, providing assessment and immediate care to newborns post-delivery, and attend all C-sections and high-risk deliveries Bedside procedures include peripheral IV insertion, septic workups, intubations, percutaneous catheter insertions, parenteral therapy, blood product administration, bronchopulmonary hygiene, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring Parent teaching is a component of the nursing role on this unit Most diagnostic services are provided at the bedside Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position All certifications must be AHA-issued Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
