Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Plan. Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, contract documents, and federal standards. Coordinate quality control inspections, testing, and documentation. Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for definable features of work. Maintain quality control documentation including daily QC reports and inspection records. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and contractors to resolve quality issues. Design and Technical Oversight: Review construction drawings, specifications, and technical submittals for compliance. Verify materials, installation methods, and workmanship meet contract requirements. Ensure proper review and approval of contractor submittals prior to construction. Identify technical issues and coordinate resolution with project leadership. Construction and Quality Assurance Oversee inspection and testing activities for civil works construction including earthwork, concrete, structural systems, and utilities. Monitor contractor quality control operations and verify compliance with the approved CQC plan. Review laboratory testing reports, inspection documentation, and construction quality records. Track deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Project and Field Support Serve as the primary point of contact for quality control matters on assigned projects. Participate in project meetings, technical discussions, and construction coordination meetings. Support project documentation, reporting, and compliance monitoring. Coordinate with USACE Resident Offices and project stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline preferred. Minimum 7 years of construction quality control or construction management experience. Experience implementing quality control programs for infrastructure or construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction specifications, inspection procedures, and quality documentation. Ability to work in field environments and travel to project sites throughout Florida. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) construction projects. Completion of USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors training. Professional Engineer (PE) license or related professional certification. Experience with Resident Management System (RMS) or federal construction management systems. Experience with civil works, flood control infrastructure, reservoirs, or military construction.
