Sr. Cash Accountant

Our client is trying to fill the role of Sr. Cash Accountant. This position will be a member of the accounting department and can sit in Austin OR Houston. Responsible include assisting in daily cash accounting operations, preparing cash journal entries and reconciliations. This role helps in the execution of the company’s daily cash payment and receipt process, ensures accurate allocation of funds across multiple entities and accounts, and supports liquidity planning, and process improvement initiatives.Base varies on level of experience $85k-$115k with benefits Responsibilities:Assists in daily cash accounting operations and prioritizing workloadsMonitors daily bank balances, liquidity needs, and cash positions across multiple accounts and legal entitiesExecutes payment processing, including wire transfers, ACH disbursements, internal transfers and transfer requestsPrepare weekly cash forecast across multiple accounts and entitiesPrepare daily cash postings and transaction coding activitiesExecute the company’s cash waterfall process and creation of transfer requestsExecute payments in treasury management system and bank portalsCreate monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, clearing accounts, and cash subledgersInvestigate and resolve discrepancies related to bank activity, receipts, disbursements, and cash applicationsKeep to assigned schedule to best support the position's workgroup and related departments. Required Qualifications:3+ years of experience in cash accounting and treasury operationsExperience with project finance structure such as cash waterfalls process and transfer requestsExperience with treasury management systems and bank portalsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business AdministrationIf you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
