Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Cognitive PsychologyThe Department of Psychological Science (PSYC) in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Cognitive Psychology to start in August 2027. This is a standard nine-month faculty appointment with a competitive startup package. Successful applicants must have: (1) a Ph.D. in psychology or cognitive science from an accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of appointment; (2) an active research agenda in cognitive psychology; (3) evidence of scholarly productivity as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals; and (4) an ability to contribute to the department's teaching mission in both graduate training and undergraduate instruction in psychological science, including seminar courses in the person's area(s) of expertise. Preference will be given to candidates with (1) demonstrated potential to obtain extramural funding; (2) an ability to complement existing departmental strengths; and (3) evidence of preparation for teaching courses needed by the department.Duties will include: 40% teaching, 40% research, and 20% service.Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in psychology or cognitive science, an active research program in cognitive psychology, evidence of scholarly productivity, and the ability to contribute to the department's teaching mission. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated potential to obtain extramural funding, evidence of preparation to teach courses needed by the department, and a research and/or teaching focus that complements existing departmental strengths.Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
