At Addictions Recovery Center (ARC), we provide trauma-informed medical care that promotes safety,

stability, and dignity for people navigating substance use and recovery. Our work is grounded in

compassion, collaboration, and treating the whole person.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you provide direct medical care to clients across ARC programs,

including Withdrawal Management and our Addiction Medicine Clinic. You help clients safely navigate

withdrawal, manage medications and treatment needs, and address health concerns that can create

barriers to recovery.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive screenings, develop treatment plans, manage withdrawal

and medications, support clients receiving medications for addiction treatment, and coordinate care

with primary care providers and ARC's multidisciplinary team. You'll also care for clients with complex

medical needs while helping ensure services are timely, coordinated, and responsive to each individual.

This position requires strong clinical judgment, compassionate communication,

adaptability, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary

treatment environment. Your care helps people feel heard, supported, and

medically safe as they take meaningful steps toward recovery.

Activities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Patient Care:

• Oversee and manage prescribed medications and withdrawal management for patients using or at risk of withdrawal from substances, including patients receiving Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) such as Methadone, Suboxone, or Vivitrol, ensuring all treatments are aligned with medical orders.
• Manage withdrawal management admissions, including patient advocacy to ensure timely and appropriate care.
• Implement solution-focused strategies to address and remove barriers to treatment, facilitating clients' access to necessary services.
• Act as an advocate for patients to ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard within the treatment process.
• Provide direct medical care to patients at the Withdrawal Management Facility and Addiction Medicine Clinic, including:
• Oversight of all patient screenings, plans, and services provided.
• Collaborate with patient primary care providers, as needed, on admission, treatment needs, and discharge plan.
• Oversee accurate and appropriate client records maintenance and reporting of outcomes.
• Ensure new orders and provider instructions are appropriately recorded in patient/client record.
• Evaluate medical reviews and changes, including medications.
• Notify the patient’s provider/prescriber immediately if the patient leaves treatment.
• Provide comprehensive client screenings, develop treatment plans, and deliver medical services.
• Manage care for pregnant patients.
• Oversee the care of patients with infectious diseases.
• Handle medical emergencies promptly and effectively.

2. Other Responsibilities:

• Oversee medical service delivery for agency programs, including but not limited to withdrawal management, addictions medicine clinic, residential and sobering programs.
• Provide timely responses to internal and external inquiries.
• Work with leadership to ensure cohesive, high-quality services and a positive response to change.
• Maintain effective communication with all key collaborators and staff as needed.
• Demonstrate computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Maintain and update department protocols, policies, and patient medical records.

Requirements:

Education/Licensure Required:

• Current and unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in the state of Oregon.
• Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• DEA certification for prescribing medication.
• Clinical experience in family practice or a related field, with a focus on addiction medicine preferred.
• Trauma-informed care and addictions medicine training preferred.

• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of medical protocols and regulations.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in addiction medicine and trauma-informed care preferred.
