Caregiver Needed – PCA, CNA, Nurse Aide Required

Do you enjoy helping others? Looking for a flexible weekend position? Senior Helpers is currently seeking professional, caring, and reliable caregivers to support our senior clients on weekends . Responsibilities include assisting with daily ADLs, running errands, providing transportation to doctor’s appointments, and offering meaningful companionship while families are away. Primary Responsibilities

• Companionship and conversation
• Personal Care (assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, feeding)
• Light Housekeeping/Household Management (incl. laundry and linen changing)
• Apparel selection (i.e. laying out clothes)
• Meal planning and preparation
• Medication reminders
• Mobility support (standby assist, transfer, hoyer lift)
• Transportation using own or client’s vehicle
• Helping family members learn safe care techniques
• Tolerance to pets (dogs and/or cats)
• Lift 40lbs or less. 

Qualifications

• Create and maintain open communication with seniors, their families, and our staff
• Assist with personal care
• Companionship
• Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as assigned
• Has experience with Dementia
• Has experience with Gait belt Transfers
• ** Caregiver must be a Certified PCA, CNA, or Nurse Aide to get qualified for this position
• Ability to get to work using reliable transportation
• Valid US issued driver’s license with no serious driving violations
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
• Pass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior Helpers
• Pass a drug screening test 
• Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus, but not required
• Must be able to be reached via phone, text, or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies

Competitive pay

Minimum shifts are 4 hours
