We are looking for a Catering Sous Chef to expertly manage our medium-sized culinary team supporting a variety of events including corporate functions, weddings, and private parties. You will oversee daily culinary operations, coordinate orders, and maintain high standards of food quality while contributing to menu development and ensuring a memorable dining experience in a fast-paced catering environment. Occasional local travel will be required to support events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day culinary operations for catering events
• Coordinate food and kitchenware orders using inventory tools and management systems
• Inspect freshness and quality of ingredients
• Assist in menu development tailored to event types
• Standardize recipes and plate presentations
• Collaborate with management and team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences
• Manage and lead a medium-sized culinary team (6-15 members)
• Support occasional local travel for off-site event catering

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in culinary arts

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma in Culinary Arts
• Food safety certification
• Experience with inventory management and menu planning
• Cost control expertise
• Strong leadership, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
