Job Full Description Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Electrician to join our facility team. You will install, troubleshoot, test, and maintain complex electrical systems, automated machinery, motors, and power distribution components up to 480V. Your primary goal is to ensure maximum equipment uptime, operational efficiency, and strict adherence to workplace safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Wiring: Install, bend, and pull conduit; run wiring; and set up electrical panels, transformers, switches, and circuit breakers for new or upgraded industrial machinery.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in motors, control circuits, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and power systems using precision testing equipment.
• Automation & Controls: Troubleshoot, maintain, and support Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automated system components.
• Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled routine inspections, cleaning, and maintenance on heavy equipment to prevent unexpected production downtime.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, NFPA 70E guidelines, and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of an industrial electrical apprenticeship or technical/trade school certification is strongly preferred.
• Licensure: Valid State Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or plant environment.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with low/high voltage systems, VFDs, motor controls, and basic PLC troubleshooting. Blueprint reading literacy.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long shifts, climb ladders, workr at heights, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work Environment: Willingness to work in varying facility conditions (heat, noise, dust) and occasionally support off-shift hours or on-call emergency repairs. Shawnee, OK
