Product Owner
eHealth Global Technologies
Job Type
Full-time
eHealth Technologies is a leading healthcare technology company that advances the delivery of life-altering care. Since 2006, we have decreased time to treatment for millions of patients and are trusted by the top healthcare systems, HIEs, and CROs throughout the United States. Our advanced technology and compassionate team expedites the collection, organization, and delivery of medical records, images, and pathology materials so that care teams have exactly what they need, where they need it, to get their patients back on the road to recovery as quickly as possible. Our team takes great pride in working behind the scenes for 70% of the top hospitals to help hundreds of thousands of patients every year. Career Opportunity Description:
The Product Owner at eHealth Technologies operates as the CEO of the products they are assigned. They carry end-to-end accountability for the success of those products - not just for the delivery of features, but for the outcomes those products produce in the market, the experience customers have with them, and the commercial results they generate for the business. Where the product succeeds, the Product Owner is the person responsible; where it falls short, the Product Owner is the person who owns the gap and drives the fix. This role requires a whole product mindset. The software itself - the generic product - is only one component of what customers actually buy and adopt. The Product Owner is responsible for ensuring the whole product is in place: the core technology together with everything customers need to realize value from it, including documentation, training, onboarding, customer support readiness, sales enablement, implementation services, integrations, security and compliance posture, partner and vendor coordination, pricing and packaging, and the internal operational processes that surround delivery. When a gap in the whole product would undermine adoption, retention, or outcomes, the Product Owner is accountable for surfacing it and driving it to resolution - even when the work sits outside the engineering team. Acting as the voice of the customer and the steward of business value, this individual owns and prioritizes the product backlog, defines acceptance criteria, and drives alignment between stakeholders and development teams. In parallel, they manage sprint cadences, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery. They are accountable both for the right product being built and for the right conditions being in place around it for that product to succeed once delivered. This role is highly collaborative and customer-facing, requiring strong communication, organization, follow-through, and the executive judgment to make trade-offs across competing demands. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, balances strategic thinking with operational rigor, and embodies a servant leadership mindset aligned with company values. Primary Responsibilities Product Ownership & Strategy
- Operate as the CEO of assigned products, with end-to-end accountability for delivery, adoption, customer outcomes, satisfaction, and commercial performance
- Own and communicate a clear product vision aligned to overall product strategy, in partnership with Product Management
- Define, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog based on customer value, business value, risk, and technical dependencies
- Translate business needs into clear, testable user stories with acceptance criteria
- Make informed prioritization and scope trade-offs to maximize value within time and budget constraints
- Define MVP scope and success criteria for each product increment
- Apply a whole-product mindset, ensuring all required elements for customer success (e.g., documentation, onboarding, support, sales enablement, integrations, compliance, pricing/packaging) are delivered and continuously improved
- Define "done" at the whole-product level, ensuring releases are customer-ready-not just code complete
- Identify and resolve gaps in the whole product that could impact adoption, outcomes, or customer experience
- Coordinate cross-functional readiness across engineering, UX, customer success, support, sales, marketing, operations, and partners
- Own product-level outcomes including adoption, activation, retention, customer satisfaction, and revenue contribution
- Lead planning and execution of product delivery, including sprint ceremonies (planning, grooming, reviews, retrospectives)
- Develop and manage product plans, timelines, and delivery milestones in collaboration with development teams
- Manage scope, risks, dependencies, and delivery commitments, including maintaining RAID logs as needed
- Track and manage delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, capacity, timelines) to ensure predictability and performance
- Coordinate release planning, go-live readiness, and change management across all stakeholders
- Gather and incorporate customer feedback, user research, and usability testing into product decisions
- Stay informed on market trends and competitor offerings, translating insights into prioritization and product direction
- Partner with Customer Success and Support to capture in-life product feedback and drive continuous improvement
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and align teams around product priorities and delivery goals
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, including demos, sprint reviews, and regular product updates
- Translate technical concepts into business language and vice versa for effective decision-making
- Define and track product success metrics focused on outcomes (not just outputs)
- Maintain transparent reporting on product status, delivery progress, risks, and whole-product readiness
- Provide concise, executive-ready updates to stakeholders and leadership
- Perform additional duties as required
Management reporting: Monitors progression of workload activities daily and reports on an as needed basis. Escalates issues immediately to Vice President of Product Development, Technology, and Information Security as needed.
