Conflicts Analyst

Foulston is looking for a team-oriented individual to support our Firm as a Conflicts Analyst. This critical, Wichita-based position will support all of our locations by researching professional conflict of interest and other business risks that we face regarding new legal matters. This position requires a high level of collaboration along with the ability to exercise discretion with confidential information. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, a team player, detail oriented, and has a strong desire for excellence.


Responsibilities include:

• Gaining an understanding and proficiency of Foulston's due diligence policies and guidelines
• Conducting factual research using internal and external resources, which may include researching corporate relationships (using LexisNexis, D&B, web publications and similar public databases) and discussions with attorneys and/or legal support staff to gather information and/or clarification regarding a party or matter
• Preparing reports from analyzed data to be distributed to appropriate parties
• Maintaining the integrity and completeness of Firm databases
• Communicating with Attorneys and Staff regarding conflict-of-interest procedures and results
• Facilitating potential new client intake by gathering relevant information and communicating the next steps
• Providing excellent customer service by communicating professionally and effectively with all parties
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

• Ability to compile, review, filter, synthesize, and interpret information which is varied in content and format
• Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and make decisions when appropriate
• Strong research skills using internal and external resources
• Capacity to increase knowledge of legal terminology and complex relationships
• Ability to correctly prioritize tasks and meet quick deadlines
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to produce high quality and accurate work product with minimal supervision
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with attorneys and staff at all levels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Basic typing skills (at least 40 wpm)
• Law firm experience desired but not required

This position will be fully onsite for a period of time before becoming eligible to apply for participation in the firm's work from home program.
