Automation and Controls Engineer

ResponsibilitiesDesign, program, and maintain automation and control systems.Lead capital automation projects from concept through implementation.Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.Improve equipment reliability, productivity, and process performance.Provide technical support for troubleshooting and system optimization.Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, machine vision systems, and related controls.Create and maintain electrical schematics using CAD software.Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, equipment procurement, and commissioning activities.Design and support automation solutions for industrial manufacturing applications.Analyze equipment performance and implement process improvements.Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.Travel to customer sites and project locations as required.QualificationsAssociate or bachelor's degree in an Engineering disciplineExperience programming and troubleshooting PLC, HMI, and machine vision systemsProficiency with CAD software for electrical schematic development5-10 years of manufacturing automation and controls experienceMust be located in the Navasota area or within a reasonable commuting distance; this is an onsite positionApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.Required SkillsKnowledge of pipeline construction methods, welding processes, and protective coating systems.Experience conducting field inspections and preparing inspection reports.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documents.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated project management experience with successful implementation of capital projectsWorking knowledge of automation, manufacturing processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement practicesStrong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
