As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail mall location, you will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and tenants. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions. Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures. Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, policy violations, and other security-related issues to appropriate personnel. Assist with directing visitors, providing information, and supporting a welcoming environment while maintaining professional communication with property staff and local responders as needed. Minimum Requirements: At least one year of security-related experience is required. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card or license is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
