GENERAL FUNCTION Entry level role in the Finance and Accounting Leadership Program (FALP) within the Finance Division. Rotates every six months over a 24-month period (with an emphasis on either Accounting or Finance rotations based on the participant’s program focus) to gain exposure to multiple areas including Line of Business and Headquarters Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, External Reporting, Treasury, Investor Relations and other areas depending on business need. Assumes responsibilities of FALP assignment as assigned by the assignment leader. Operates as a team member on larger initiatives but also works independently on smaller projects. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Rotation assignment and assignment leader will determine specific duties and responsibilities. Performs basic special projects as assigned and at the direction of assignment leader. Example responsibilities may include the following: Build, analyze and distribute monthly and quarterly financial reporting. Provide analysis for monthly forecasting process for the business. Support the annual budgeting process. Perform financial variance analysis to identify trends in the business. Finance Rotations: Assist in the execution of financial analysis. Finance Rotations: Understand and assist in the identification of key business factors that impact the business. Finance Rotations: Prepare and analyze monthly reports. Finance Rotations: Investigate and document unusual items. Finance Rotations: Perform maintenance on existing schedules and reports for changes to information. Finance Rotations: Document, evaluate and improve design of reports and processes to ensure that analytical tools evolve as business changes. Accounting Rotations: Accurately maintain accounting records and perform all related accounting functions. Accounting Rotations: Prepare daily entries while overseeing preparation of other entries. Accounting Rotations: Monitor accounts and maintain account balances. Accounting Rotations: Facilitate compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Accounting Rotations: Reconciliation and resolution of outages from complex accounts. Accounting Rotations: Responsible for special accounting projects and complex assignments. Accounting Rotations: Preparation of Bancorp and subsidiaries financial reporting.
