Home Care Registered Nurse (RN) Field Supervisor PRN/Hourly, W-2 Employee

The Home Care RN Field Supervisor is a W-2 employee responsible for providing as-needed nursing care, caregiver supervision, training, and client onboarding for Home Helpers NE Baltimore. This flexible, hourly position supports high-quality home care services as business needs arise, in compliance with Maryland state regulations.

Home Helpers Home Care of NE Baltimore is located at 101 N Haven St., Suite 301, Office I, Baltimore, MD 21224.

Reporting to the Administrator/Executive Director, the RN Field Supervisor must have a graduate degree from an accredited college or university, a current license in Maryland as a Registered Nurse, at least one year of relevant work experience in home care or hospital setting, understanding of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines, competence in professional nursing principles and required documentation, and strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Desirable qualifications include experience with OASIS assessments and documentation, prior supervisory experience in home care or related settings, and experience administering and supervising infusions preferred.

Duties and responsibilities include reviewing caregiver applications, conducting in-person interviews, training and orienting new caregivers, administering medications, onboarding and managing high-needs clients, conducting client assessments, providing ongoing supervision and support for caregivers, participating in case conferences, submitting clinical notes and progress notes, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements, and continually improving nursing skills through in-service education and professional development.

Schedule and compensation are PRN/as-needed, coordinated in advance with the Administrator. No guaranteed weekly hours; work is consistent but scheduled based on agency needs and mutual availability. Compensation is an hourly rate of $40-$50/hour, commensurate with experience and duties. Mileage reimbursement for travel to client homes is provided. Employment type is W-2 PRN employee.

Additional requirements include compliance with all Home Helpers NE Baltimore policies and procedures, completion of orientation, and demonstration of competency in required skills prior to assignment. Employment status is at-will, PRN/as-needed arrangement. Either party may terminate employment at any time, with or without cause or notice, unless otherwise specified in a written contract.
