We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations in Germantown, Tennessee. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing close activities, and ensuring balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly close activities by preparing schedules, reviewing account activity, and helping ensure timely completion of reporting deadlines.
• Record and post journal entries with supporting documentation to maintain accurate and compliant financial statements.
• Manage general ledger activity by reviewing transactions, researching discrepancies, and preserving the integrity of financial data.
• Perform account reconciliations on a recurring basis and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Complete bank reconciliations by comparing cash activity to internal records and investigating variances.
• Analyze financial information to identify unusual fluctuations, correct errors, and support overall reporting accuracy.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather accounting details, clarify transactions, and improve the consistency of month-end processes.• Demonstrated experience in senior-level accounting work with direct responsibility for month-end close.
• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
• Hands-on experience performing account reconciliations and researching reconciling items.
• Background in completing bank reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
• Strong analytical skills with careful attention to detail and deadlines.
• Ability to organize work effectively, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
