Lab Associate (2nd shift)

Scope The Lab Associate’s responsibility is to provide support to Operations and the Process Department through analyses and process monitoring. Duties and Responsibilities Perform chemical analyses. Calculate chemical make‑ups. Make chemical additions or notify wet process operators of required adds. Data entry into the Lab SPC software program. Utilize the Atomic Absorption for analyses. Utilize the CMI for surface finish thickness verification. Proper setup, use, cleaning, and shutdown of lab equipment. Updating and maintaining laboratory files and logs. Communication with appropriate personnel for product disposition. Lab inventory control. Provide chemical and performance data for process troubleshooting. Prioritize lab workload accordingly. SPC chart generation and incorporation of SPC Tools. Essential Knowledge and Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Patient for tasks that require sitting and using hands to finger, handle, or feel. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Good vision, particularly close vision. Very good concentration and focus with minor interruptions. Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Export Statement Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC. Identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and ensure access is limited to US Citizens and US Permanent Residents. Recognize and differentiate foreign visitors by badge. Follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities. Understand and follow export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the United States. Manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
