Ground Support Equipment Worker (UME), Fort Bliss, TX

Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Ground Support Equipment Worker on a Government contract with a place of performance at Fort Bliss, TX. This position is full-time but temporary. Anticipated period of performance ending 3 October 2026.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs preventive maintenance/repairs on power generation equipment, tactical utility, precise power-generation sets, internal combustion engines, and associated equipment. Generators include but not limited to: Small Generators: 2kW Military Tactical Generators (MTG), 3 kW Tactical Quiet Generators (TQG), Small Tactical Electric Power (STEP); Medium Generators: 5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 kW TQGs; Advanced Medium Mobile Power Sources (AMMPS), trailer-mounted Power Units and Power Plants; Large Generators: 100-200 kW TQGs, Large Advanced Mobile Power Sources (LAMPS); 840kW Deployable Power Generation and Distribution System (DPGDS); Power Distribution: Power Distribution Illumination System Electrical (PDISE) and Management and Distribution Control Units.
• Uses complex electronic test instruments, computer based diagnostic equipment and load banks.
• Assists with routine and scheduled maintenance and repairs on portable heaters, air conditioning units,
• Use applicable references, Army Technical Manuals (EMS/IADS), inspecting, troubleshooting, servicing, repairing, replacement, adjusting and testing of power generation equipment, tactical utility, precise power-generation sets, internal combustion engines, and associated equipment.
• Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers manuals or similar documents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years of related experience.
• Must Demonstrate a good working knowledge of maintenance programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks related to the position.
• Valid state issued driver license.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years.
• Able to function with a basic level of English oral and written language skills.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, sleet and snow.
• Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Able to pick up and move items within a 49 lbs. restriction with a frequent or constant lifting of 40 lbs.
• Able to climb in and out of military vehicles and related equipment.
• Capable of climbing and working on equipment at 10 feet above ground limit.
• Capable of using and understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Able to work past normal hours as mission dictates.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior military experience in Military Occupational Skill (MOS) 91D.
• Defense contracting experience inspecting and ordering repair parts for military
