Assess patient needs, develop and implement nutrition plans/programs and evaluate results. Shriners Portland is looking for a PRN Clinical Dietician to join the team!Key Responsibilities:Demonstrates knowledge and ability to screen pediatric patients for nutrition status and potential nutritional related issuesAccurately calculates protein, calorie, and fluid requirements to meet age-specific needs of patientsProvides services and establishes goals based on the identified needs of patients and/or family membersUses education strategies appropriate to patients’ needs and site of care. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to identify appropriate opportunities and settings for learning activities, to recommend and implement nutrition education/counseling for patients and familiesDemonstrates knowledge of departmental and hospital-wide performance improvement programs to identify areas of improvement for nutrition care. As applicable, actively participates in interdepartmental teams to meet individual meeting outcomes and overall team goalDevelops and implements a plan for professional growth as part of the annual performance appraisal processRequired Qualifications:Bachelor, Dietetics or Food and Nutrition ScienceDietitian license in state of practicePreferred Qualifications:2 years Pediatric Clinical Nutrition1 year Hospital1 year OrthopaedicsCompensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity. #J-18808-Ljbffr Shriners Children's
