Security Officer Access Monitor – West Columbia, SC Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $17.51 / Hour Job Schedule Sat: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM Sun: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, security‑related policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help deter unauthorized access within the location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location. Support lobby and reception access activities by assisting with visitor check‑in processes, directing guests, and reporting suspicious or unusual activity. Qualifications Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Be at least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles, 21+ for armed). Alarm panel experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
