Our biggest priority is providing outstanding customer service & revolutionizing the industry through the use of the latest technology.Job PurposeIn your role as a Heavy Duty Machinery Mechanic, you will perform repairs and maintenance on refuse vehicles and heavy machinery including but not limited to: vehicle refuse bodies and control systems, air brake systems, suspension, steering, suspension, hydraulics, electrical, general engine work, HVAC components, drivetrain, and chassis components. This role starts at $40/hour.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties include but are not limited to:Keeps up on maintenance of vehicles and equipmentPerforms engine repair and maintenancePerforms welding and fabricationScans trucks and troubleshoots mechanical issues using electronic toolsPerforms electrical repairsAssists with DOT inspectionsCompletes oil changes and greasing trucks/equipmentRepairs tires, including replacement when necessaryPerforms preventative maintenance on vehicles to enable minimal downtimeSafely executes road service calls when necessary to ensure the equipment is being returned in a safe mannerTroubleshoots emissions issuesActively problem solvesExecutes work orders and turns into Maintenance Supervisor for company recordsThe successful candidate profile includes:Commercial Driver's License is a plus but not requiredAbility to work AfternoonsUnderstands work orders and labor time standardsExperience with maintenance to be performed on refuse trucks and heavy machineryASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certifications are a plus but not requiredMinimum two years experience as a heavy-duty technicianMust be able to perform basic inspections of the following: brakes, drivetrain, emissions, hydraulics, emissions, transmissions, general engine, steering and suspensionAt Priority Waste, there are fundamental qualities that we look for in all our employees:People who excel in a collaborative environment (team players)A willingness to do whatever the situation calls forAn excitement to be part of a growing organizationA genuine understanding that the quality of your work has a direct impact on the company’s success #J-18808-Ljbffr
