Our organization is in search of a Child Abuse Pediatrician to become a part of our dedicated team at The Children's Hospital, a regional tertiary care facility situated in New Brunswick, New Jersey. We operate the Dorothy B. Hersh Child Protection Center (CPC), a state-recognized institution that caters to eight counties in central New Jersey.
Opportunity HighlightsWork alongside a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, psychologists, and social workers.
Perform thorough, trauma-informed medical and psychological evaluations for cases of suspected physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, as well as medical neglect.
Deliver presentations on identifying and addressing abuse to medical residents, law enforcement, educational staff, and social workers from DYFS.
Document forensic evidence, provide case consultations to legal representatives, and act as an expert or fact witness during court proceedings and depositions.

Completion of an accredited ACGME or AOA Residency in Pediatrics, followed by a Fellowship in Child Abuse Pediatrics.
Board certification or eligibility in both Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics.
Possession of an MD or DO license in New Jersey.
DEA and CDS licenses are required.
Must meet the qualifications for liability insurance at our organization.
The full-time clinical base salary at our organization ranges from $175,000 to $750,000, influenced by various factors such as specialty, experience level, quality of care, academic achievements, patient satisfaction, and productivity. The stated salary range reflects a good faith estimate of potential base compensation at the time of this job posting and may be subject to change in the future.
