Certified Surgical Tech

Certified Surgical Technician provides intra-operative support by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgeries. They prepare operating rooms, maintain sterile fields, and assist the surgical team as the primary scrub person. Key responsibilities include coordinating with circulating nurses, conducting sponge, instrument, and needle counts, and ensuring the proper operation of surgical equipment. They handle and label specimens, adhere to safety protocols, and utilize current surgical technology and medical terminology. Qualifications completion of formal education and certification as a Surgical Tech experience in operative procedures, equipment, and instrumentation CPR certification Preferred experience at least two years of hospital surgical experience Skills required excellent customer service and basic computer skills Additional duties involve assisting in department quality improvement activities and ensuring patient safety throughout surgical procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr Plan A Health
