School Nurse

School Nurse Kingdom East Unified Union School District – Lyndon Town School, Lyndonville, Vermont Job Description: The District is seeking a full‑time (100% FTE) School Nurse assigned to Lyndon Town School. The nurse will provide health and wellness services to students, integrate health instruction into curriculum, promote safety and health, intervene in health problems, provide case management, collaborate with families, staff and community resources, and facilitate student well‑being. The nurse shall maintain standards of school nursing practice as per Vermont Agency of Education. Background check and fingerprinting required. Responsibilities: Deliver daily nurse services and health screenings Provide classroom health and wellness instruction Intervene with potential and actual health problems and emergencies Provide case management and care coordination for students with chronic conditions Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external health resources to develop student health plans Maintain compliant documentation and reports Assist in developing and implementing health and safety policies Qualifications Registered Nurse licensure in Vermont, or eligible School Nurse licensure or Associate School Nurse certification Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years experience as a school nurse or in pediatric/child and adolescent health services Current CPR certification and other required health certifications Certification or qualification to provide mental health and community health support Strong communication, problem‑solving and teamwork skills Citizenship, residency, or work visa (per requirement) Salary: $46,267 to $89,467 per year.
