Key requirements:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Demonstrated experience in OR nursing (circulating and/or scrub roles)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and infection control protocols
• Excellent critical-thinking skills and the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
• Outstanding communication skills for collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff
• Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations

Primary responsibilities:

• Assess preoperative patient condition, plan and coordinate care
• Assist the surgical team throughout procedures by managing instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile field, and monitoring patient status
• Execute physician orders and respond swiftly to changes in patient conditions
• Document intraoperative care and interventions accurately
• Oversee post-operative patient transfer and collaborate with recovery teams for optimal patient handover
• Uphold rigorous standards of safety and infection control at all times
