Senior Accountant

Job Description Responsibilities Manage day-to-day cost accounting tasks, including daily production review, analysis, entry, and reconciliation (investigating variances). Review costing and inventory exception reports daily. Manage weekly and quarterly cycle counting procedures in adherence to company policies. Create and distribute accounting reports as necessary. Update and maintain BOMs for existing items. Complete period close (monthly) tasks, including data analysis, writing journal entries, and accounting reports/scorecards. Assist with other duties as directed by supervisor as experience builds. Qualifications Prior accounting experience, preferably in cost accounting. Ability to think critically and logically. Demonstrated initiative and dedication. Excellent attendance reliability. Well-developed organizational and time-management skills. Well-developed written and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with computer use, including Microsoft Office (Excel, email, etc.). (Preferred) Experience working in a food manufacturing or related environment. (Preferred) Experience with QAD or other related cost accounting systems. (Preferred) Experience with perpetual inventory systems. (Preferred) Experience with Oracle Financials or other ERP related systems. (Preferred) A degree in accounting or finance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
