Our client is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their property accounting team for a 12–18 month development program. This role is designed to give the incumbent hands-on experience across the full spectrum of property accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger and financial reporting rather than starting in one narrow function. Assignments will shift over the course of the program as the incumbent builds exposure across these areas, with the opportunity to be placed as a full-time Property Accountant or transition into Fund Accounting at the conclusion. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who is eager to learn, adaptable, and interested in building a broad foundation before specializing.

• Responsibilities:
• Gain hands-on experience across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger/financial reporting functions within property accounting.
• Take on shifting assignments and responsibilities as you build exposure across each functional area during the development period.
• Support the team with accounting tasks that require strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Collaborate with property accounting and operations teams, adapting to changing responsibilities and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

• Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required (any field); a degree in Accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
• 0–1 year of accounting experience (internship or entry-level); commercial real estate or Yardi exposure a plus.
• Strong understanding of, or demonstrated aptitude for, generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products; comfortable with ambiguity and evolving responsibilities.
