As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial systems, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. Overseeing all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. 2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances once finalized. 3. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. 4. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. 5. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. 6. Conducting timely and detailed reviews of all financial reports and ensuring they comply with GAAP. 7. Collaborating with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of our company. Qualifications: 1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA certification including 3-5 years in public accounting OR 5-7 years in the Transportation/Logistics industry highly preferred. 2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in an accounting leadership role. 3. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, with experience in creating financial statements. 4. Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 5. Experience with general ledger functions, the month-end/year-end close process, and forecasting and budgeting. 6. Strong skills in variance analysis and logistics management. 7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills. 8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy. 9. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner. 10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
