INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

This flyer announces anticipated vacancies for the Instructional Systems Series 1750 positions. Eligible applicants must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the specified grade levels. Detailed requirements are listed below. GS-09 Requirements Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-07. Specialized experience must demonstrate: Working independently or through collaboration, performing specialized assignments designed to increase knowledge and build skills that contribute to the development of testing tools. Assisting in conducting research and drafting reports; applying job analysis knowledge and techniques in test development; assisting in drafting and preparing presentations. Gathering and analyzing data to evaluate the reliability and validity of tests, supporting efforts to continuously improve processes. Developing course materials to train employees on pay and personnel services. Developing surveys to obtain feedback from students, supervisors, and instructors. Applying analytical and evaluation methods to determine training effectiveness and processes that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of instructional programs. GS-07 Requirements Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-05. Specialized experience must demonstrate: Conducting occupational and job analyses on position assessment and personnel placement. Assisting with technical writing and proper grammar in the development of occupational test questions. Assisting with developing in-service training for individual or groups of personnel. Assisting in the identification and documentation of functional system requirements to support test development. Drafting standard operating procedures for test development and applying established procedures to test development. Briefing testing procedures and providing general/basic information on testing concepts to visiting personnel.
