Maintenance Painter

Primary Purpose Assist the Receiving and Distribution Manager in the daily operation of the Districts receiving, distribution, delivery, and surplus functions. Resolve receiving and delivery discrepancies and ensure packages are processed in a timely manner. Help coordinate and keep track of all items that arrive in the Warehouse so they are distributed efficiently and promptly. Help in all areas of the Warehouse including receiving, delivery, assembly, and furniture moves. Qualifications Minimum Education/Certification: High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience Valid drivers license Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of Warehouse, receiving, distribution, delivery, and material-handling practices Ability to identify operational problems and take appropriate action to resolve them. Ability to prioritize multiple assignment and respond to changing operational needs Strong computer and data-entry skills Knowledge of the purchasing process from requisition to payment Knowledge of school district supply process, demands and schedules Excellent customer service skills High level communication skills both verbal and written Physical Demands/Work Environment Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, lift gates, and other warehouse moving equipment Ability to safely lift, load/unload packages for receiving or delivery to campuses Perform hands‑on physical work in other areas of the Warehouse like delivery, furniture assembly, and mail‑runs Participate in team lifting and moving heavier or bulky furniture when needs arise throughout the district Regular attendance is an essential function Minimum Experience Experience in Warehouse receiving and distribution, preferred experience in a School District Warehouse Major Responsibilities And Duties Solve exceptions to receiving - any exception to the routine receipt of product for distribution to campuses that must be researched with vendors, campuses, Purchasing or Accounts Payable. Requires a high level of problem-solving skills. Receive and inspect incoming shipments; verify quantities, condition, delivery documentation, in accordance with the Purchase Order. Maintain accurate receiving, delivery, transfer, and surplus records related to the Warehouse Actively participate in the daily physical work of the Receiving and Distribution department, including loading, unloading, receiving, moving, delivering, assembling, or relocating items Assist with furniture and equipment moves throughout the District facilities. Assist with assembling furniture that is shipped to the Warehouse. Facilitate the process of selling no longer needed equipment through Public Surplus. Monitor progress of auction and answering question of bidders. Data entry of all deliveries.
