Assembler/Tester - Entry Level OEM Pneumatics (Aerospace)

Position Summary Accurately and efficiently assembles/tests a variety of moderate to complex products to achieve customer quality and on-time delivery schedules. May overhaul/repair several product families. Works on products that contain mechanical and electrical components, and multiple product families. Actively contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and cost savings through waste elimination. Receives general supervisory guidance. Day Shift Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Hourly rate starting at $19.00 Position requires High School Diploma or GED Signing bonus paid as follows: $250 at 30 days, $750 at 6 months Benefits Competitive Medical with prescription, Dental (including orthodontia) & Vision from date of hire Supplemental Medical Benefits: Critical Illness, Accidental Injury and Hospital Indemnity Life insurance policy – Parker paid Annual Cash Incentive Plan (bonus) 401K with 5% company match 13 Paid Holidays Education (tuition) Reimbursement Program Employee Recognition Program/Events & Community Service Opportunities Essential Functions Performs basic to moderate assembly/test and overhaul/repair functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing or service environment. Records test results on data forms using basic electrical equipment and flow measurement devices. May use X-Y recorders, oscilloscopes, transducers and other related equipment. Identifies malfunctions disclosed by test data and reworks as instructed. Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements and quality directives. Produces and inspects assemblies that conform to product specifications, assembling, testing and/or soldering to customer and industry standards. Ensures quality of all products being assembled for cosmetics, dimensional requirements, proper identification and test parameters. Maintains the highest degree of customer service, quality, productivity, throughput, dependability, safety, a clean and organized work environment, and willingness to accept change. Exhibits team cooperative spirit through assistance to others and knowledge sharing. Actively participates in lean initiatives and provides suggestions for cost savings improvements through waste elimination. Adheres to all safety rules and procedures. Maintains a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area. Ensures all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule. Participates in High Performance Teams. May perform other related responsibilities as requested. Qualifications High school degree or GED One or more years of assembly and test experience Demonstrates product and process knowledge by applying it to newly learned techniques. Able to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets and test specifications. Able to perform basic mathematical calculations, and has effective verbal, written and basic computer skills. Possess strong mechanical reasoning. Able to train less experienced team members. Able to implement and effectively apply lean initiatives. Possess effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Able to interpret reports and use standard business software applications, including employee self‑service and specialized automated systems (e.g., PMR, TORS, email). Might be required to pass a drug test prior to entering an FAA/DOT covered position and be included in the random Anti‑Drug Testing Program. May require specialized certification specific to division requirements (e.g., certified operator, soldering certification). Learn to demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback and self‑development activities. Additional Comments While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time. The team member must talk, hear, and demonstrate manual dexterity by using hands to assemble parts and use test equipment. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to distinguish between colors without assistance. The team member must use hands to operate a computer. The team member is expected to exhibit regular attendance and work cooperatively and professionally with others. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
