Registered Nurse - Medical-SurgicalThe Registered Nurse (RN) in a Medical-Surgical setting practices independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. The RN provides routine and complex care, focused on long-range goals and contingency management. This role requires effective delegation and management of clinical situations.ResponsibilitiesMeets the expectations of One CHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.Utilizes the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.Addresses the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors side effects and treatment effectiveness.Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureBachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.Minimum of one year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only).Active RN License in the state of Texas or compact state.ScheduleThis position is a full-time night shift role, from 7 PM to 7 AM.Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
